 Now Hiring! CustodianFull timeSalary range: $40,000 yearlySummary The custodian will have the responsibility of keeping the warehouses and offices clean and sanitized. Duties will include, but not be limited to, operating a floor scrubber machine in the warehouse, vacuuming, dusting and sweeping, cleaning and maintaining restrooms and breakrooms, and occasional grounds maintenance. This position will also be responsible for light maintenance work such as changing light bulbs and air filters. This is a 2nd shift position, say 4pm to midnight M-Fr. Very good referrals required. This work will be performed at our two locations daily, approximately 11 miles apart. · Main Location – 13300 Vantage Way, Jacksonville, FL 32218· Pickettville Location: 2730 Pickettville Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32220 - From time to time, other duties may be assigned when custodial and maintenance duties have been completed. General Duties:Custodial:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing of flooring and stairs.
• Operation of Scrubber Machine, Shop Vac and carpet cleaner.
• Wipe down baseboards not blocked by furniture.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, to include sinks, shower, and toilets.
• Clean/polish mirrors in restrooms.
• Clean sink, countertops, microwaves, coffee makers, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Sanitize all door handles, door pushes and banisters daily.
• Restock supplies/refill dispensers in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, tying liners as needed to fit trash cans. Dispose of trash in dumpsters.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Clean windowsills, windows, and blinds.
• Clean any spills or leaks as needed.
• Clean air vents as needed.
• Maintain supplies in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.

Light Maintenance:

• Changing light bulbs as needed.
• Changing air filters as needed.
• Maintain and replace stained or soiled ceiling tiles as needed.
• Some grounds work (e.g., tree trimming, raking)
• Occasional painting.
• Other light maintenance tasks as requested.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma.
• Previous experience in janitorial work is required.
• Must be able to operate floor scrubber, shop vac and vacuum.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, lift, go up and down stairs, use a ladder, bend and carry items.
• Must have a valid drivers license and transportation.

 

Pay Range

USD $40,000.00 - USD $40,000.00 /Yr.
